The Romanian Energy Symposium – SIREN 2023, with the theme “Romania continues the transition towards a secure, climate-neutral and consumer-centric energy system”, was organized between September 11-13, 2023 by the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (CNR-CME), under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy.
SIREN 2023 was structured on four main themes: 1) Strategies and policies for energy transition; 2) Investment programs in the field of energy; 3) New technologies in the field of energy; 4) Commercial, market and consumer policies.
The symposium also includes a Scientific Communications Session with specialized sections, which highlighted current developments, research and experiences in Romanian energy.

Our colleague, Teodora Mîndra participated both in the panel of new technologies in the field of energy, but also in the Scientific Communications Session, where she presented the intermediate results of the Smartech project. The project is financed with the support of grants granted by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA financial mechanism 2014-2021, within the “Energy Program in Romania”.

The transformation of digitization towards predictive maintenance of assets in the energy sector takes place on the basis of intelligent equipment. We present from this category IoT maintenance sensors , which are electronic devices used to monitor and diagnose equipment and systems in order to optimize maintenance activities and prevent breakdowns. These sensors are designed to collect and record relevant data about equipment performance and operating conditions, providing useful information for scheduling and performing maintenance operations displayed in data analysis platforms. Maintenance sensors are used in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, energy, transportation and more. Their role is to monitor various aspects of equipment such as vibration, temperature, pressure, oil or lubricant level, air or fluid flow, electrical current and more.
The platform proposed in the project contains 5 screens, developed with the components based on the AppDesigner library and based on the modified code to allow the visualization of the data collected and entered for analysis.
